Top common bone and joint problems in humans

A human body has more than 200 bones and joints that may suffer a lot of problems due to several reasons. Some conditions can be cured by taking appropriate steps but some remain lifelong. Bone problems in humans are generally caused due to lack of required nutrients or ageing. Every condition has some prevention if not medicine then exercises can prove out to be a good relief many cases.

Here are a few bone and joints disorders that you should also take a note of to beware of the problems they cause and how these can be prevented.

1. Osteoporosis

It is one of the most common bone diseases that has affected humans to a great extent. In this condition the person has very weak bones that are prone to fractures and injuries. Osteoporosis needs utter care and medication. Major symptoms of this bone condition are loss of height and stooped posture. It can be prevented by taking healthy and balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D. People suffering from it must exercise on underwater treadmills, especially if they have such a problem in their legs.

 

 

2. Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis occurs when the cartilage between two bones wears down causing the two bones rub against each other. This mostly happens in older age when the bones are stiff and swell up. Osteoarthritis is also a result of family history, being overweight, overuse of muscle or joint movement etc. Major way to prevent the pain is strengthening the muscle near joints that have to bear a lot of weight. This can be done by exercising on aqua treadmill under the supervision of your doctors.

3. Gout

Gout cause pain in one joint of your foot, toe or ankle. Generally, this problem occurs during the night time and has symptoms like a lot of pain or swelling. There are number of causes that result in this bone disease such as a high level of uric acid in blood, more consumption of seafood, organ meats and alcohol. If anyone wants to prevent this disease then it is recommended to reduce the consumption of seafood and alcohol, little exercise and proper medication.

4. Rheumatoid arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis is also a bone and joint disorder that is long term and causes a lot of inflammation is the bones and joints. This problem can arise anytime in humans but mostly it is caused to the people in their middle age. Major symptoms of this disease are morning stiffness in the entire body and swelling or pain. As it is a long-term issue, it cannot be prevented but yes can be reduced by proper diet or by using underwater treadmills for humans under supervision.

5.Bursitis

Bursitis is the condition in which your bursa (a fluid filled sac for proper functioning of your muscles and joints) suffers from pain, irritation or inflammation. It is caused majorly due to any trauma, arthritis or infection and its symptoms are pain around the joint when pressed in that area, swelling or redness around the affected joint. It can be avoided by reducing activities that need repetitive joint movements.

These bone and joints problems are very common among humans of any age group. It is recommended to visit your doctor whenever you feel any of the above symptoms and make it a practice to do some exercises for proper functioning of your bones.
